I was in Victoria for the day 1 week ago (doing it again tomorrow) with 16 of my 8th grade students. Went whale watching just in the vicinity of San Juan Island, frequently "crossing" back and forth between the watery boundary between Canada and the U.S.
After lunch we had 2 hours free-time in the city of Victoria before our evening hotel check-in.
