Famed for a previous time ("bubble years") in economic lore when this neighborhood in Tokyo was the most expensive piece of real estate on the planet and currently is one of the most expensive cities in the world, to Ginza (sans family) I went to spend a mid-week day holiday.
My purpose, of course, wasn't to shop. I had plans to waltz thru an art exhibit, check out Nikon camera headquarters and generally wander about aimlessly between cups of tea.
Here's what I remember.
