NCFD Open House

We held an open house last Saturday at the fire hall; complete with a hot dog BBQ, a bouncy castle for the kids, fire trucks to crawl around in and 2 auto extrication demos. Miki has been (for at least the past 6 months) fixated on a truck picture-book at home and finally got to sit in one of the vehicles in that book.
She did fine in the bouncy castle, too. Not exactly jumping around or anything, but despite the unstable, air-filled floor and other young ones thrashing and jostling around, she held her balance and walked around a bit.

Yay for fire trucks! I think my favorite picture is the boot one! It's so big compared to her!

Yay ... found your blog (finally) - via Google. (And I learnt how to spell "Miki", in the process).

Didn't expect to see a picture of Alex though. That was a pleasant surprise! (I'll have to show her).

Alex reported that "driving the biggest fire truck" was the best part of her visit during the open house.

Cheers,
Scott
