Tumble Weed

Mama and I took Miki to her first toddler's gymnastic class this morning. The whirl-wind, hour-long romp among soft mats, trampolines, balance beams, rings, low bars and slides absolutely zipped by. There are quite a few other young ones in her class and the gym was extremely busy as different age groups came and went and the instructors scampered to set-up for the next screaming bunch of monkeys to arrive.

And wouldn't you know it? Among all that nice, professional, expensive "real" gymnastic equipment available to play on, Miki's favorite "event" was the plastic Lil' Tikes slide!

Miki & Papa drew this the evening of her 1st gymnastics class. Not exactly Miki "internalizing" the experience, but hey, she gets the idea...

Sous Chef Miki

Chef E was at it full speed over the Christmas and New Year's holidays and her Sous Chef was right there perched on her high chair beside her. The two cranked out an amazing selection of our beloved morning "tea snack" loaves; tea in the morning just wouldn't be the same without something fresh baked to munch on.

Uncle Jack & Aunt Eilleen sent Miki a great little apron for Christmas and here she is breaking it in.

I'm still combing thru some of the photos right now and can't decide what to do so I'll just leave you with one for now...

Backpackin'

Nana's surprise gift to Miki this year was her first backpack! It's great and it fits her nicely. So far she's only put one of her stuffed dog toys in it.
